Craps Table

Craps is a dice game that often is found on casinos.

Picture of a craps table

Craps is of many seen to be the fastest and most exciting game in the casino.

Craps Rules

The one that rolls the dice is called the shooter. This will be you!
The other players at the table will bet with or against you.

If you as an example will bet on the pass line and on the first run (which also is known as the "come-out")
will get 7 or 11. Then you have made a pass and wins money on your stake. If you on the other hand
rolls craps which are 2, 3 or 12. Then you lose your stake.

If you will roll something else, 4,5,6,8,9 eller 10, then you have a point and will continue to roll the dices
until you will get the same sum again or gets a 7. If you rolls the point number again before getting a 7,
then you have made a pass and wins money on your stake. If you on the other hand rolls a 7 before
you have been able to roll the point number, then you lose the stake.

When a point has been established, then this number or a 7 will decide if you win or lose your
pass line stake.
Everything else including 11 or the crap numbers 2, 3 or 12 has no effect on this stake.

As you already have found out is that when you win on your pass line stake, then possible stakes that are
put on the "don't pass line" will be lost and vice versa.
So if you roll craps on the "come-out" or a 7 before you rolls the point number again, then the "don't pass"
stake will win.

Pass Line

Stakes where the shooter will take a pass. Will win if you either will roll a 7 or 11 on the come-out roll or
rolls the point number before you roll a 7. Will lose if the com-out roll are 2, 3 or 12(craps) or a 7 before
the point number. This will give equal money on the stake.

"Wrong" Stakes

Stakes on that the shooter will not succeed with his/her pass is called "wrong"

Laying the Odds

In the same way as you can take odds on the pass line stakes, you have the possibility to put odds on the
don't pass line, if point is 4 or 10, 4.5x don't pass line stake if point is 5 or 9 and 3.6x don't pass line stake
if point is 6 or 8. This stake will win if a 7 will be rolled before the point number and will give 1:2 if point
is 4 or 10, 2:3 if point is 5 or 9 and 5:6 if point is 6 or 8.

Big 6 and Big 8

Big 6 or Big 8 stakes will win if a 6 or 8 will be thrown before a 7.
Those stakes will give equal money.

Hardway

A hardway stake is a stake on that 4, 6, 8 or 10 will be thrown in pair, like 2-2, 3-3, 4-4 or 5-5 before
a 7 is rolled or the specific number in any other way. Will give 7:1 on 4 and 10 and 9:1 on the 6 and 8.

Field

A stake on that 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 or 12 will be rolled on the next run. Will give equal money if 3, 4, 9 or 10 will
be rolled and 2:1 if 2 or 12 will be rolled.

Number

A number stake is a stake on that a specific number will be thrown in the next roll. This can be put on
2, 3, 7, 11 or 12. A stake on 2 or 12 gives 29:1, on 3 or 11 14:1 and on 7 it will be 4:1. You can also put a stake on that any of the craps numbers, 2, 3, 12 will be rolled.
This stake will give 7This stake will give 7:1.

C-E

Craps-eleven stake is a stake on that 2, 3, 11 or 12 will be rolled in the next roll. If 2, 3 or 12 will be rolled,
it will give 3:1.. if a 11 will be rolled, it will give 7:1.

"Off" stakes

On the com-out roll, some stakes are "off". This means that they either can win or lose no matter what the
dices will show. The stakes that are affected are "hardway", "place and lose" and odds stakes on "come" and
"don't come".
